'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League return
Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his desire in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to discuss a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is currently two years through the four-year agreement he signed when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.
The veteran forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the first important trophy of his distinguished career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would be pleased to see Kane return to England, where he lacks 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he once was, and would definitely consider extending his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, attaining the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had escaped him until he won the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
